THE STORY OF
MASON HOUSE POTTERY

Christopher Wuttke, owner and potter at Mason House Pottery, started his career 50 years ago taking his first pottery class in high school. He graduated from Drake University with a double major in art education and pottery. He then taught pottery for the next 25 years, including 20 years at Chastain Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1999 he moved to Vermont, and eventually bought the Daniel Mason House and farm with his partner and they began the restoration of the property in the hills above the scenic Black River in Cavendish. The name Mason House Pottery came from the Daniel Mason family which moved to this location in 1791 and built the historic home where Christopher and his partner live. The pottery he creates has been enjoyed by those who purchase and collect his work. He has sold his work through many craft galleries, craft shows, and now will be available online!
